Don't judge me as you see.

Sick

I'm sick.

Not like you might think.

My facade cracks often.

Popping pills to maintain it.

I grit my teeth and bear it.

The weight of my illnesses.

I pop more pills.

My facade pieces itself back together.

I'm afraid.

Falling apart is a threat.

My face is a mask of pills and anger.

Fear contorts it into a messy blender.

I growl and push myself forward.

I wish only to be normal.

To not panic in a crowd.

To not want to die occasionally.

To not want to hurt others.

To not feel the eyes on me.

To not feel the pain.

Perhaps you call me weak?

But tell me what you say,

If you had to take pills every night.

Just to be normal for a day.
