Here's a poem for a little challenge :)

The Man In The Mirror

As I stand there, waiting for someone to hear my screams,

As I stand there, waiting for someone to hear my screams, I watch and wait for him to come back once again and finish what he started.

I can hear breathing from in the darkness,

I can hear breathing from in the darkness, I sense something from deep within the shadows,

He's here.

I hold my breath, counting the seconds that go by,

I hold my breath, counting the seconds that go by, One,

I hold my breath, counting the seconds that go by, One, Two,

I hold my breath, counting the seconds that go by, One, Two, Three,

I hold my breath, counting the seconds that go by, One, Two, Three, Four,

I hold my breath, counting the seconds that go by, One, Two, Three, Four, Five.

My fear grips ahold of me.

I

I can

I can feel

I can feel my

I can feel my heart

I can feel my heart stop.

And then I can see him clearly. I look into that mirror before me, Seeing a man whom I knew was the end of me, And, just like that, I start breathing again.

I can feel everything radiate.

My fears weren't of him, Or of someones else, But of what this man before me was to do. My fears are nothing when you look at the bigger picture, They're small and unneeding, Almost as if they are never there to begin with.

I can't be afraid.

I can't be scared.

I must fight back.

I have to stand up for myself.

I stop breathing again.

And I start counting.

Time's almost up.
