an all too familiar sidewalk
surrounded by people and a lingering aroma
of distinct prepubescent innocence
in the heart of the concrete jungle which we call home,
or for others, the daily grind.
i was met by a mischievous closed mouth smile
which remains ever so pure and genuine
and a pair of eyes that would cole to be my
of eternal joy and serenity in years to come.
i longed for you to take my hand and show me
what it’s like to be yours
show me what hides under those bright and breathtaking eyes,
angel in disguise.
