Unbearable Thirst

Eye lids rise

As I gaze at the skies this discontented craving overwhelms

It may be my demise

What can satisfy this unbearable thirst

Nothing seems right

This feeling couldn't possibly be worse

Temporary bliss brought to me by a breeze

I must follow that scent

Its all that matters

Give it to me please

Eagerly I unwrap this moment of relief

A warm salty elixir drips from my teeth

When the buzz settles I stare in disbelief

What have I become
