admirable and serene

poised and colossal beings

in an inanimate realm

whispering soft praises

that sing of their deeds

but not to the mortal world, no not even sneeze

but they live on in these relics so magnificent

appealing to many yet spoken to none

cold and faultless like ice

sacred and noble, like the still waters...
