Have you ever dreamt with your eyes opened?

Dream of Love

by davorite

It's a beautiful day out. Can't you see?

So what am I still doing in bed (thinking about how much you mean to me)?

When I'm finally out, I hear laughter, a mellifluous harmony mixing both your voice and mine,

And this laughter, this music, I have forever engrained in my mind.

These voices are everywhere, and the canyons are endless and deep.

But they say I'm mad, crazy in love, when it's you who continues to reap.

It is my love that your joy seems to take and take and take.

And at the end of the day, it's hard to tell between what is real and what is fake.

@bernardtwindwil it's such a coincidence that soon after I saw your comment, I actually started to notice those qualities of the other person. Thank you!

Yes, I have. During extra boring lectures. This is such a sad tale. I seem to be able to see an abusive relationship. The first person narrator seems to be an enabler for the other person who gets it's narcissistic through the first person's anguish. GHreat post!!!!!!!!
