A poem about how moonlight acted as a symbol of love and sorrow

Moonlight

by daventurous

The creek nearby dimly shone, Reflecting the glorious moonlight. And we stood on grass alone With our eyes only in sight.

This creek was our favorite place, Even though we know it's gloomy. Yet just seeing your stunning face Makes this creek the creek of beauty

I told you what I felt for you, Also you told me your fondness. We don't have someone for this to view, But the moonlight was our witness.

Problems do occur to us And we tried to stay together, But I know feelings never last. Our forever became never.

I returned to the quiet creek Where I cried all my sadness. I know no one will dare speak And the moonlight was my witness.
