My Angel

by dannibear1461

I awoke with a smile with the taste of honey on my lips My head still dazed, but I remembered the quips

Stretch out to touch the angel beside When all the while she was in my mind

The softness I'd felt was a mere illusion I put down to the beer that adds to my confusion

@bernardtwindwil this one is a bit of fun for me, but angels do exist if you believe in magic 😊

I really like your ability to bring a subject of an ethereal nature into a commonplace environment. Great poem!!!
