Abused

by dannibear1461

Tattered and torn Thrown to the floor Physically abused Left confused

The bruises heal But I cannot feel Instead ashamed My body drained

No tender love Instead make-up To hide the marks Upon my face

@bernardtwindwil thank you for your comment, poetry to me is about expression not always nice topics to read but sometimes necessary

Oh my goodness. You excited a deep Pavlovian response from me. This was such a short sad poem that thundered with the truth. I love your poetry. Great job.

@amyleepassmore it is a hard subject to write about but I feel it makes you stronger for doing so and I will also read your work.
