Life (will) Shift

by damehlyfe

ridges on the ground always at my feet

these old shoes were getting worn out

and at these times I couldn't see past the ebony below

and my vision clouded from this forsaken sandstorm

the throat croaked and these bones ached so harshly

doesn't even the mighty descend down this chasm in due time?

yet as I about waved my fists to the heavens in agony

the ocean's reflection showered me with night lights

and the awakened sun ahead beckoned me to come near

and after most of my tears were on my sleeve, I urged on

for I was reminded in order to pursue hope

that I had to merely look up heavenwards

Well written. Excellent grammar. You have written to one of the basic perceptions which we all seek. Great poem!!
