Winter.

by cjhale

I wish to sleep,

In Winters cold embrace.

To leave this wicked dream called reality.

And forget my sorrows.

Rest my pain. Sleep my agony.

Freeze my heart. Ice my soul, let nobody thaw it.

Let me sleep, O' Winter.

Take my life peacefully.

Rest my soul.

For I have killed you. And Winter will take you.

O' death be not proud.

My choice is my own, you still have no control over me. This is my decision.

Winter swallow me whole.

Freeze my heart, and take my soul.

The end of my life, the end of my pain.

So to ice I will go. This is not the end.

Lovely! This conveyed the cold of the season and the cold of the person considering a long sleep into eternity. Beautifully presented. I loved it. I have considered going into the sacred mountains to die by hypothermia rather than be ravaged by cancer. Great post!!!!

Beautiful piece sometimes our sole needs to go into hibernation just to shut the world out while our hearts and minds have time to recover
