Oblivion

by chloeblue2

Too much time to think Too much time to drink Too much time to make bad decisions while staring down at the sink

Too many people to call Not many people at all When you're there trying not to throw your fist through a wall

Too many memories of pain It's crazy that I'm still sane And I'm sitting here crying and pretending it's rain

Now I'm having bad dreams Trying hard not to scream But the scariest part is that they're all about me

Pulling at your own hair There's pills everywhere But even in oblivion you're still getting scared

This poem is incredibly well constructed. The rhyming pattern is so conducive to the flow of thoughts while reading it. The message itself was deep and exploratory. Your word choice was so desciptive that I felt like I was there in the room of that poor tortured soul.
