Unleash. A poem.

Unleash.

by chetsnut

I’ll tell you once more, I’m innocent. So why these cuffs? The weight is intense, this makes no more sense. I beg, let go.

Somebody give me the key. It tightens and tightens, can’t breathe. Unleash, unleash, unleash.

I’m trapped in a room in my soul, with sorrows and griefs on the walls. Unleash, unleash, can’t do another day.

My mind can not be free. It’s jailed inside of me. Wrong place at wrong time made me fall in your traps when you needed to cause pain, you spread it in my veins.

My body is broken, can’t stay any longer. Open.

The lack of a moment in peace, as holding your heart was the tease. I will never make it, to afford the bail which my soul must receive to open, set me free.

Can’t ask anybody, Nobody to be there. Should I only be sorry? To why I never let in one to pay out, would they pay?

Somebody give me the key. It tightens and tightens, can’t breathe. Unleash, unleash, unleash.

I’m trapped in a room in my soul, with sorrows and griefs on the wall. Unleash, unleash, can’t do another day.

My mind can not be free. It’s jailed inside of me. Wrong place at wrong time made me fall in your traps when you needed to cause pain, you spread it in my veins.

My body is broken, can’t stay any longer. Open.
