Dear Professor Sledge
When I first met you I had just spent the last two and a half years being homeschooled. I wasn’t used to being around so many people and having a teacher.
A lot of the students knew each other already
I was terrified. The first instructions we get from you are to talk to someone that we don’t know and as an introvert that was even more terrifying.
We did that every day and slowly it wasn’t so bad
Even outside the class it was easier to just talk to someone. While still difficult to talk to people now but because of it becoming more comfortable it has been easier for me to make friends.
You are one of the few people that realized
that there was something I was dealing with. Although that might be because you are a psychologist. You also helped me realise that I am good at psychology and that I found it interesting.
So because of you I chose to get an associates in psychology
now my bachelors in psychology. I learned a lot from you, but the main thing I learned is that you have to understand yourself before you can understand others.
So now I am trying to understand myself and my world.
Eventually I will be able to help others understand themselves and their worlds .
