Shes shed a lot of tears these last few years. || 111 words in length, memoir about growing up trans. Not a comic like my older ones, but short and sweet like them.

Memoir One

When I was a child, my mother told me that she wanted to know what sex my older brother was before he was born because she didn't want to cry in the delivery room if he turned out to be a boy.

When I was a teenager and I came out of the closet as transgender, my mother cried because she felt she was losing her daughter.

When I was a young adult, my mother told me that she didn't care if I was a boy or a girl or anything else, because she knew then that she didn't want a boy or a girl or anything else.

She wanted me.
