"The world is going to end tomorrow," said Emily. "Pfft! Yeah right," said James.

"Seriously, I mean it." "And you know this... because?"

"Because I'm a demon." "A demon! You don't look like a demon to me."

"We don't all have horns and red eyes you know." "I thought you did," said James. "Do something demonic right now."

"Like what?" "I dunno, make a dead goat appear."

"I'm a demon, not a magician." Emily fixed him with a piercing stare. "Don't forget now, it 'will' happen tomorrow."

James was certain of one thing, for a ten-year-old, Emily was scarily convincing.
