Weary of thinking in the wee hours as harsh truths do come about more often then then not.

May my love for you be so big it reaches the ends of the earth.

But to hand you my life I must not, for it is my trust you have lost.

@burlbbird I am 72 now and sleep more than I ever did. In my younger years I learned a little trick that I taught myself. Keep a pad and paper by your bedside. If what you are thinking of is important. It should be important enough to write down and a short intro to its solution. If it isn't worthy of notation, move on to the next thought and so on. After a while, you will learn to do that mentally and you will be able to dismiss the bullshit and go to sleep.

@bernardtwindwil Thank you so so much! I pulled two too many all-nighters so now I constantly struggle with sleeping at a well, so instead i stay up brooding over unimportant matters.

Nicely written. I am glad that it wasn't longer because you would have lost more sleep. It is little wonder that this thought awakened you. You opened up with a depth of thought and emotion too. Well written and illustrated.
