Not all my fears have passed,
Nor have my wounds truly healed,
But tomorrow will peel away the scars of yesterday.
Having risen from a deep sleep,
It’s as if there’s a brand-new me to keep.
As I look out to the horizon,
Shimmering and shining,
It called to me.
With no place to stay,
Nowhere to be,
I ran out to swim in the deep blue sea.
