A poem about a girl I loved too much.

Runaway

You didn't need to be

A runaway train

And I didn't need to be

The girl bound to you by ropes

But here we are

Burned without a proper goodbye

Both having run from what we were afraid of

You, of love

Me, of life without you

Life without the idea of you

The ropes are frayed

Broken away

Are we happy now?
