Lizard haiku

by bernardtwindwil

Small scampering tan lizard

Flies are not afraid

Smaller bugs were preyed

When before him strayed

easier to fit his gizzard

@petertvdaniels We have enough competing critters that none of my backyard minions will starve. As for being ambushed and eaten, that is in another haiku. @ashleyciera You would love my backyard. I have counted 14 varieties of lizards and 4 varieties of snakes that come and go.

@lentis Thank you. I live in Texas Hill Country and there are a plethora of lizard in my backyard. My grandchildren and beagle dog chase them all over while I yell at them to leave the lizards alone. Nobody listens.
