We all have different childhood dreams.

A feral life: I took a walk on the wild side.

by bernardtwindwil

When I was 2 or 3 or maybe 6 or 7 I doubted that I wanted to go to heaven

It could be full of priest and poorly dressed preachers or maybe a coven of nuns or Sunday school teachers

If dying and going to heaven was my soul's intent Well then my time on Earth has been poorly spent

I desired to run wild buck naked or maybe in skins I used to practice before the mirror just for grins

I would be like Grizzly Adams or maybe Chingachgook I could live on wild berries and an occasional chinook

I'll live in a hogan as a Navajo or in a tipi with the Sioux I would dance around the fire after counting coups

I would catch a wild mustang and ride him bareback I would ride across the prairie and not leave a track

I did not need to learn how to read and to write I just had to know the difference of wrong and right

If I needed a doctor I could just eat some weeds I could do a dance with my war bonnet and beads

I thought of being out in the wild west all alone So I decided that this adventure must be postponed
