A short poem about the Ocean's pain and grievance...

Oceanic Mourning

Iron aroma fills the air,

The metallic taste on the tip of the tongue,

Dark, deep, red, intoxicates the water,

The Ocean is bleeding.

The sky an innocent bystander,

Once fondly overlooking mesmerised,

Now blankets the Ocean in blackness,

Mourning the Ocean's unjustified losses.

Rain falls heavily,

Grieving the death,

Attacking the perpetrators,

But they won't stop.

Every drop of blood that fills the Ocean,

Is an innocent Marine life,

Lives taken for Commercial use,

To satiate human kind's insurmountable hunger.
