staring at the wall

by aylin

I was too hypnotised by your existence

Not even a word could dare to come out

It felt like the silence will prevail forever

I couldn't run away and staying was inevitable

The weight of your leaving me alone with your absence

made it harder to move on

I would come back but I want you to come back to me

Let this heart blossom like it is a spring day

and it is too funny to ask

as the only thing you gave me is this regret.

A dulcet type of melancholy suffuses these verses. They are beautifully written. This was outstanding. Great poem!!!
