It's not like before.

No I don't remember your face as as soon as I wake up.

The things you've said don't come up to my mind quite often.

I don't think of the days we've spent together

or the look in your eyes that always kept me alive.

And my expectations are hiding down below

somewhere I don't belong.

You are fading but the remains stay still.

You belong to the past and it's time to embrace the present.

I loved it! Every word was so healing oriented. I love the thrust of the message and the matter of fact wording. Great poem!
