She walks, slowly stirring the dirt with her feet
Following a strange scent throughout a thick fog
" we all live to die so why live at all" she chanted.
Her words growing louder the closer she walked
A crooked grin stretched across her face.
Smoke curled from the flames on the trees.
When she moved closer the flames grew larger,
When she stepped back the flames grew smaller.
Her eyes were Ruby's. she left behind an odd odor
It was clean yet dirty, wet, but dry, black and white
Over all it was disturbing
Something about it drove the woman mad,
It was truly just the matches which made fire
But no one could think of a way to describe it
The awful smell, a shattered heart that was all,
The heart of a woman who lost her way,
Who gave up, .she knew the smell .
but nobody else would listen so she burned it,
She burned the smell she burned herself.
Gone in smoke just gone.
