A poem I wrote while reminiscing the times I'd go trick-or-treating.

Halloween Night

Leaves of orange by your feet

Pumpkins sat on every block

Children dressed as ghosts and witches

Giggle on the sidewalk

Remember how it used to feel

Collecting bags of candy bars?

You’d race across the street with friends

Your parents say, “Watch out for cars.”

You couldn’t wait to grow up

And be taller, but instead

You’re wishing you could go back

To those memories in your head
