Your Glasses ; Last Part

by author

Today as I sit in my backyard,

I long for your twinkling eyes;

Your figure to emerge

I long for the taste of your lips

I long for the claim and safety of your arms

I long for the nights when I look at you;

You were my home;

My everything;

The rainbow after the rain,

The love after the pain,

The hero to my damsel self

You were my dazzling white knight

And I was the wicked witch

And as I shed more tears

I gripped tightly the glasses you left behind

And never claimed again
