Your Glasses ; Part 3

by author

And as I continued to scream your name,

I cursed the stars,

I cursed these flames,

I cursed the voice in the back of my head

And as I whispered your name,

I could only think of regret

For letting you stay

Now the floor's scattered with ashes

And as my skin continues to prickle with fire,

I felt cold

The tears running down my face

Didn't put the fire away

Aside from the remains of your ashes

Were your glasses,

One of the things that made you stand out

Amongst all my past lovers

You were my love,

You always will be
