Words written, and yet they didn't believe in this.
In the past, existing in ignorant bliss.
How did they say everyone is equal,
When they didn't see nonwhite people as people?
A person is not better or worse based on the color of their skin,
as the true sense of character is found from within.
We all say we want the future to be more equal than it has been,
but almost everything is still ran by rich white men.
We all want true equality to happen eventually, but have we thought about when?
