Poem [4]

Is it wrong to expect my needs to be fulfilled Or my desires to be met Do I need to pray more Or run to your side gasping for breath

Is it wrong that I’m gregarious in the church Is it such a venue when I linger astray Should my focus be strictly on you Should my faith never decay

Will my pain be unnoticed As if it’s a mares nest Even though I stood at your door I find myself constantly restless

I receive only what requires faith I expected a limit to why you can do Even though I stood at your door I failed to acknowledge you

So now I listen without languor And seek with good intentions I am now certain that in the end My struggle will not be forgotten
