Stubborn boy- a poem.

by ashleyciera

i saw you in my dreams last night i fell asleep with the thought of you burned in my brain and i woke up with your grin clouding up my thoughts

i guess i can't escape you awake, or asleep

i hope you know you're all i think of when the night is dark and i'm on my own when the moon is my only company the moon, and my endless thoughts

have i tried pushing you out? of course

that's what i like about you. you're so stubborn, even my subconscious knows it. i suppose that's why you never leave my mind.

ig: bluehairedtrashcan

thanks for reading. 💛

This has such a lyrical quality, I had to re-read it to make sure it wasn't rhyming. This trips off the tongue like a sonnet on a summer evening. You apply incrediple gifts to your poems.
