Feedback would be really helpful because I really want to perfect this.

Poetry: Playing Around

-

I may say that your words mean nothing,

but my pillows say the opposite

Soaked with rivers,

suffocating so that they won’t hear,

Stop crying, grow up,

your are weak and don’t know how to stand up

It’s okay, don’t be down,

you know they are just playing around

I may say that your words mean nothing,

but my face says the opposite

Tears rolling down,

get up so they won’t ask around

Disgusting, you bring everyone down,

hide your face, no one wants to see a frown

Fake! why hide, don’t be afraid to be who you are,

No one will judge,

you know they are just playing around

I may say that your words mean nothing,

but my cuts say the opposite

Blood dripping down my fingers,

cover them up so they won’t see

Nasty, why hurt yourself, you just want attention,

you don’t know how to be yourself

Don’t listen to them, they are wrong, don’t let them get to you,

you know they are just playing around

But, Your words are not my source

Your thoughts are not my well

My scars are my armor

My tears are my protection

Their rude comments no longer can touch me

Their words no longer mean anything to me

Those words have faded

Into the dark abyss where I once was

I have found myself
