Jazz had received him that night with a worried look on her face. He was hurt, as usual, and it was all due to his adventures as Danny Phantom!
"You really must be more careful, little brother."
"These bruises are nasty, and look at this scar!" Jazz said as she treated his wounds in their home's bathroom, away from their parents prying eyes.
She's always been annoying as hell to Danny, but she cares deeply for his little brother, and even he can't deny she's right.
"Skulker caught me off guard. It won't happen again, and I promise," He replied, wincing as Jazz pressed an alcohol-soaked cotton ball against his cut. "Ow, Jazz, that hurt!"
"Are you sure you don't want to go to the hospital?" Jazz asked, her brows furrowing with obvious concern. Danny shook his head immediately.
"No, Jazz, we can't do that. I don't want mom and dad finding out about any of this. Plus, you know these will be healing soon."
Jazz sighed and nodded, finishing bandaging her brother up. Finally, she sat by his side on the bathroom's tiled floor and kissed his forehead tenderly.
"You'll work yourself to death someday, kiddo."
"I'm already half-dead already, sis" He kid right back, only to receive an irritated look from Jazz "Hey, you let that joke just hanging out there for me to make it!
" Danny sighed and nodded, resting his head on Jazz's shoulder "I'll be careful from now on, I promise. Thanks for being there for me, Jazz."
