Dean had just gotten out of the shower and was enjoying a rare moment by himself. Wrapping a towel around his waist, he began brushing his teeth.
The night was quiet and he could only hear the sounds of the street from afar, so he was looking forward to a peaceful evening in,
or at least he was until he looked down to spit the toothpaste in the sink.
It was only a second, but the moment he stared back up into his reflection, he noticed he was not alone.
Startled, he tensed for a second until he saw who was standing behind him and grunted in irritation.
"Castiel! Didn't I ask you not to do that?" He asked turning around only to be met by the angel who saved him from hell standing way too close to him.
"Appear so silently and giving me a heart attack"
"You don't look like you're having a heart attack" Castiel replied, looking up and down at Dean.
"It's a figure of speech... we also talked about personal space before, didn't we?" He asked, motioning to the little space separating them from one another.
"But I like standing close to you"
Dean blinked in surprise and blushed lightly, not quite knowing what to answer.
"What do you mean?"
"I like standing close to you" He repeated as if Dean hadn't heard him right. "Like those couples, I see on the street. They stand really close"
"We aren't a couple, Castiel"
"But we could be one, right?"
Dean once again found himself utterly stunned, but he couldn't help but smile slightly at this remark.
"Well... maybe we could"
