Reinette had met the Doctor as a child, and then again over and over as she grew up.
She had gone from a promising young girl to the lover of the King of France. And all through it, she had waited and waited... and waited.
If only he would come back to her, she'd give up everything she had earned, all to return to him.
Years came and went, slipping away bit by bit, yet Reinette never once lost hope.
It was late one evening when she heard it: A deafening roar. She wasn't afraid, though. Not at all! Instead, she was excited, her heart pounding in her chest.
It seemed to come from the fireplace. Right where her dear Doctor had stepped out of so many times through the years. Could he finally be coming back into her world, to fulfill his promise?
The beautiful blonde noblewoman stepped away from the fireplace, as the noise became harsher and harsher.
Her blue eyes opened wide as a large, ridiculous object crashed into the side of her room. A whole side of the wall began tumbling over, making Reinette gasp as it came crahsing on the floor.
Reinette closed her eyes as a blinding blue light filled her room. Just as suddenly as it had started, it was now over.
Her bedroom was silent again, and though the wall kept falling to bits without hurry, everything else was as it had always been.
A blue, big box, stuck in her room, her beautiful fireplace broken into a million unrecognizable pieces.
"Doctor?!" She screamed, rushing to the box. The door popped open, and from it, her angel stepped out. She jumped into his arms, hugging him as tightly as she possibly could "You came back!"
"Just as I promised, my darling Reinette" He replied with his usual charming smile. The Doctor wrapped his arm around her and helped her inside. "Come, now."
"It's time to begin our adventure together"
