They were the hottest new partners in the police district. They were getting some of the best cases and solving them fast.
Between her enthusiasm and his slyness, her determination and his streetsmart, it seemed there was nothing they couldn't do.
Nick and Judy were rubbing off each other's best qualities; there was no doubt about it: He was becoming an idealist of sorts, and she was growing more cunning each passing day.
Even if she was indeed learning the tricks of the trade, she was still sometimes surprised by Nick, and tonight would not be an exception!
Judy received an emergency call for a disruption near the police station.
Being on call, she had to drop off what she was doing and hoped onto her uniform, rushing toward the address, ready for whatever Zootopia had in store for her tonight.
She heard loud noises coming from the apartment where a break-in was supposed to be happing: probable cause to enter without a warrant!
She couldn't very well break the door down, so she'd have to enter through the window.
Hopping over the side staircase, she found a window conveniently half open, and after making sure it was safe, she jumped inside, ready to roll over and call for backup when...
"Nick?!" She gasped in confusion, opening her big violet eyes wide as marbles, and tucked her ears low against her back. There he was.
Nick, out of uniform, looking as handsome as ever and finishing setting a big meal filled with her favorite vegetables -carrots and much more!-.
The whole place was adorned with flowers and dim lights. Judy blushed furiously, looking around in confusion and delight. "What is this? How---What are you doing here?!"
"I decided to rent this place; you like it?" He asked, giving her a little wink, and motioning for her to take a seat. Judy stepped closer, giving him a funny look, twitching her ears lightly.
"Well, now that I have a proper job, I can't continue living off motels, and you can't keep living in that sad little room, can you?"
"That's so great, congrats!" She exclaimed at first until she came to grips with everything he was saying "W--wait. What are you saying?"
"I got this place for the both of us, silly rabbit" He explained, chuckling lightly "Try to catch up, sweetheart, I didn't think you were a Sloth!"
"Oh, hush, you silly fox!" She squealed, hopping off her seat and jumping into his arms, hugging him tightly.
"So, will you move in with me?" He asked, kissing the top of her head.
"What do you think?" Judy replied brightly, hugging him close to her.
"I love you, Judy" He whispered, before stepping away and guiding her back to her seat, serving her a big glass of blueberry juice.
"I love you too, Nick."
