We all look for that glowing orange light

Blinds

Open,

To let light through.

View the others,

Though they can’t spot you.

And only when darkness comes,

And you forget to close,

Can they watch your light filter through;

See your rough edges.

To catch one in their safety

Is to see without a filter.

And so,

We scavenge

For glowing yellow squares,

Looking for a glimpse of truth.
