Definition: a collection of rats whose tails are intertwined and bound together.

Most likely resulting in death.

Rat King

Are we not our own plague to the earth?

To disease ourselves?

Why must it choke you too?

Why must it choke you too? Why must our fates entwine

Why must it choke you too? Why must our fates entwine and tie tight nooses around each other

Why must it choke you too? Why must our fates entwine and tie tight nooses around each other gasping how desperately I need you,

Why must it choke you too? Why must our fates entwine and tie tight nooses around each other gasping how desperately I need you, but how firmly a grasp can stifle your breath?

I thought you would be your own and I would be mine.

I thought you'd live.

Fault.

How did we entangle,

How did we entangle, claw through each other's lives and tear every bit of mortality?

And, most painfully,

Who tied our tails?
