Humanhood

by anushkapragya17

Are we also becoming a part of the dirt? Do we never mean the ugly things we blurt? All the time we say, we are not like them; But none of us can be called a real gem.

Even if we have talents flowing out; After the sins we commit, how can we be proud?

Though, at times, we claim to be showing humanity; We somehow forget the moments when we go against morality.

We are not always honest to ourselves, A little bit selfishness, inside us all, dwells!

All we need to do is, show what we actually are; Or else, away from peace of mind, we'll go really far

It might seem idealistic, or from a world of dreams, But this is what "human-hood" demands, and out aloud it screams!!

Yet again, your mesmerizing words didn't fail to amaze me. A creation that opens our eyes to what is actually happening around us; including what we do. I like how your poems shake our consciences, deep from the core.
