Okay, I had been aware of that fact since before I even knew the word existed, but only two days ago did I found out how big my REPUTATION as a booknerd is.
Just a few things to keep in mind: There were 18 girls (other than me) in class that day: Seven were with me for four years (and this is our fifth) One was new and we only knew each other for
a couple days The rest had been with me in school since I entered, but only last year did I become in one class with them So, we played Two-Truth/One-Lie as an icebreaker activity in English.
My statements were: I used to have nice handwriting (true) (in fourth grade) I was supposed to have stitches (also true) (I went to the hospital 11-12 hours after I cracked my head open,
so it was too late for stitches by that point) I once bought 40 books at one go (this is the lie) (they were only 38) Everyone immediately said that the handwriting thing was a lie,
cause… APPARENTLY, my handwriting’s that bad. After I told them that IS in fact true, they switched to the stitches being a lie.
EIGHTEEN girls, only SEVEN of them really know me, and NO-ONE even batted an eyelash when I said that I may-or-may-not have bought FORTY books at once.
I doubt anyone of them even THOUGHT of thinking about it being the lie!!
