you know, after figuring out robert’s job i’ve figured out more about the kinds of things he likes, including some antique stuff like fancy tea sets and stuff.
it means blair and robert will probably have little tea party kinda things after magic showswhich is funny because they were intended to have tea together in a lot of other versions of bad luck,
the first full draft i ever did had them drink tea together after meeting (because robert was a little shaken up + it was a way to introduce tiny man,
a character who probably won’t actually appear in the final version) and later drafts kind of followed because it was a nice way to have them talk normally,
and it was a good way to slow things down after the really fast-paced stuff. even in the recent storyboard, robert at least sat down and had soda with them.
so now that’ll probably be a more frequent thing with them.
plus it’s a good way to have robert in his element, it’s hard to see how he feels about anything when everything is chaos and he’s automatically on the defensive,
but in a more intimate one-on-one conversation in the ideal environment, you could probably see his true feelings more clearly. or at least, the ones he’s willing to confess…
