There was a large church that had been repurposed as a house. They made the outside look all modern, with one side made of a window that went across all three floors.
You could see that the top floor was the bedroom, and most of the room was made up of a bed and sheets and pillows.
I’d heard the place was haunted.
Apparently some “spectral bride” (thanks Giles Corey) had been chased into the church by people who wanted her dead,
and the spirits haunting the place sunk her into the ground to keep her safe from the villagers chasing her, but then demanded she stay there for all eternity as payback.
The interior looked ancient and uncared for. A typical old abandoned church.
I was told by my guide that only the first floor stayed the same, the rest of the church was completely renovated by the new owners.
Suddenly my guide and the rest of the group freaked out because apparently it became unsafe. They all ran away but I was slow to leave.
As I was walking down the street alone I called my friend and laughed about how ridiculous everyone was,
when suddenly I caught sight of a huge black dog walking on the other side of the street on its hind legs.
I knew this was bad news and hung up and hid behind a tree but it materialized in front of me, some kind of hell hound.
I “woke up” in my bedroom, relieved that it was all a dream, until I caught sight of the thing looming over the foot of my bed.
