Last month when furious 7 premiered, we had gotten a huge shipment of fast furious souvenir cups.
It's about an hour before the first showing of the movie and I'm hanging out in concession stand.
The GM comes up and says, "marsupial king, I want you to make a big display of these cups, let's see how many we can sell tonight".
Being the go getter that I am, I jump on this project and begin making a huge,
multi-rowed pyramid of these cups on the back counter so that it's the first thing people see after leaving the box office. This thing is huge. At least 100 cups and 5 feet tall. I was so proud.
Everyone loved it. As the night goes on, we start getting busy, my co-workers take cups out of the pyramid to sell. When I have time I grab some more and reform it.
Eventually, it's about 1030 and it has started to slow down quite a bit. A co-worker is sweeping up concessions when she bumps my pyramid, and, you guessed it, it all came crashing down.
Dozens and dozens of cups falling all over the place. I was bummed but damn was it funny. First time I've ever seen my GM laugh.
Once the dust settles we hear one of our managers over the radio "looks like those cups were too fast and furious for you". Great night. Great fun. Love my job.
