It's been a few years since I worked at this privately owned movie theatre, meaning no big corporate backing, it was owned by two cousins and was rented space at a mall. I have hundreds of stories for the 2 years I worked there from customers to employees to acts of god. I worked all positions and was the Manager for part of my sentence there.

It's been a few years since I worked at this privately owned movie theatre, meaning no big corporate backing, it was owned by two cousins and was rented space at a mall.

I have hundreds of stories for the 2 years I worked there from customers to employees to acts of god. I worked all positions and was the Manager for part of my sentence there.

with out further ado..

I was working the ticket booth one weekend (a Friday night), normal business, kids trying to get into R-rated movies, tipsy moviegoers acting foolish,

people trying to use 10-year old student IDs for discounts when this group walked up still trying to decide on a movie. they couldn't decide between two newly released movies.

I was the only register open since the line was small so i didn't bother them as they discussed what to watch.

"excuse me!" she smacked her lips, "What's 'movie X' about?"

"I'm sorry ma'am I haven't been able to watch that one yet." we didn't get early screenings of most movies as we were still on 35mm film so the movies had to be 'built' the night before.

"Well what about 'movie Y'?" she sounded more irritated.

"Ma'am we have pamphlets right next to you that describe all the movies we currently have playing and then some." I was calm as could be

"Well why the hell should I have to read that when you should know the product you sell?" she dragged her friend into it who just gave a half-assed "Yeah!"

"Ma'am this is an entertainment service, not a product." still calm "a product is something you would take with you.

" my manager was watching a movie on the clock so I started acting like a smart ass.

"You think I'm f***ing stupid!? Do you know who the f*** I am? I know the mayor he'll have your ass arrested and this place shut down." she started throwing her finger in my face.

at this point a second register was opened to get the line down since they refused to step aside until the told me how "f***ed" I had just become because I'm too stupid to watch all

the movies they day they are released. she started yelling at me about 10-minutes into her rant about who she knows and how that is bad for me.

the off duty officer, in uniform, calmly walked over, stood between me and her and looked at me and calmly said, "deathprevail, do you want her removed?" I just smiled and nodded.

"The f*** you think you are po-po? I'll have your badge...." she started pointing her finger at him.

he reached for his taser and asked her very politely to leave or she would have a bad night, never even lifted the taser just kept his hand on it.

the reluctantly and LOUDLY left as the line cheered (seriously, people had been waiting almost past the start time for their movies) and the officer just laughed and returned to his spot.

Once again i apologize for the length, I am new to this sub so i appreciate any critique.

TL;DR Customer got pissed, I corrected her, she was asked to leave or get tased.
