So I had probably one of the creepiest experiences of my life happen tonight.
My boyfriend and I were talking on the phone, and he has been very upset over seeing some graphic images earlier in the day while researching something that has been on the news.
(It has something to do with Buddhists killing Muslims in a nation somewhere in Asia) He had considered sending me the the link to the image he had seen, I told him no,
but just describe it to me instead.
As he starts actually describing what he saw, my phone shuts off (because the power drained out,
i knew it was low so this wasn't part of the creep factor) I pop out the battery and switch it out with a fully charged one, so I turned my phone back on and tried to call him back.
It went straight to voicemail, i thought it was weird. Initially I thought he must have gotten mad and thought I hung up on him. So i sent him a text explaining what happened, no answer.
I call the phone again, it sends me straight to voicemail so I just leave a message. I wait for a reply for over an hour. Nothing.
I almost got in the car to check up on him (we live in separate towns but I was getting seriously worried) so I call one last time before heading out.
He answers this time, and he sounds incredibly curt about answering, but I let him know I was worried. He asks me who am I.
I'm obviously very confused by what he means by this, and ask him to explain what's going on. He says that around the point he was explaining what he saw he got a message on his phone that read
Stop It Now.'
Then the phone shut itself off.
Obviously we're both stunned by what happened and are going to try and talk about it in person tomorrow. But it's got him and I creeped the fuck out.
Was this like some sort of fucked up prank?
Or was someone listening in to what we were talking about and was trying to give him a warning about talking about such things or else?
I'm really concerned for his safety at this point.
Has anyone else ever experienced something like this? Or know of a way we can figure out where the message came from? I'd really like an answer, and maybe you all could help us.
