So I got a call from my GI saying they got my bloodwork back and I needed a blood transfusion cause my hemoglobin was too low.
It would be my 4th or 5th this year so I was like okay when I gotta come in.
Unfortunately they weren’t able to schedule me at a time that I could actually make it so I called my hematologist to see if I could do it with him and he’s like go to the er. Sigh.
I get there, they do my blood work and my Hemoglobin went up above the limit for them to give me a transfusion, so they told me to go home haha.
It’s great my levels went up, it means I’m getting better then I thought, but what it boils down too is I paid a $350 copay for labwork and a warm blanket.
I did get to see something worth sharing though. While we were waiting to be registered at the front desk a lady walked in behind us and didn’t say anything, was just chilling.
So a guy asks if she came to see someone and she’s just like “no, my water broke” just causally. It entertains me immensely when I think about it.
Well I get to sleep in my own bed tonight so yeah. Signing off
