It’s like you’re stuck in a room There’s no door, no window
Or so you think
Because there’re blinding lights And crippling darkness
And you aren’t in control.
How do you get out of something so dark
And yet so bright
That we’ll never know what’s in front of us
Because once we start to adjust And once we can start to see
And you don’t know what’s ahead of you anymore.
Some people think they can see. They have plans and dreams and think they know where they’re going
But they’re just fooling themselves
They’re getting set up for failure
As soon as the light turns off again
It’s better to see when you can
Then to constantly live in fear of the dark.
