So my boss called me at 9:30 this morning to tell me that, SURPRISE! We're not keeping The Hobbit until January 9th like we thought; we're getting Grudge Match to replace it.
**IN TWO DAYS.**
So, I had to scramble to update everything: voicemail, website, Facebook, etc.
I had to send out an e-mail with the showtime corrections, which I don't even know if there's enough time for our showtime people to get them fixed on external sites for Weds and Thurs...
Oh did I mention we don't have a poster for it yet?
And there's no mail on Christmas?
So here's to hoping we actually get the film and the poster tomorrow, and then lucky me will get to do a quality check of it on Xmas eve or day! And then work! Yay...
I can't wait till Wednesday when everyone who checked our showtimes 5 days ago comes in and asks why we no longer have The Hobbit.
Oh not to mention the guy who came to see something else and I reassured him "oh don't worry, you still have time to come back for the hobbit, we'll have it for another week or two..."
Anyone else getting screwed by Warner Brothers? :/
