One guy came into my work today and he talked about how he was completely off the schedule. Ryan said something like, "I'm not on a schedule at all next week. I think they're about to fire me!"
My reply was, "No, you're not being fired. They just don't want you to work here anymore."
The general M.O. of the theater I work at is that people aren't actually fired. They just kind of stop giving you shifts (or maybe 1 a week at most) until you quit.
The only people who get fired are the ones who have to have done something really, really against the rules, like physical threatening or something that can be construed as harassment.
Nobody ever gets fired for being slow, or something like that.
I actually think it might be a typo because they usually don't leave you with zero, but still, interesting.
Was that the M.O. at most of the theaters you worked out?
