Long ago, I lived in a world of wonder. Warm summer nights under a magical sky of endless possibilities.
Time stood still while I looked into the great beyond, and wondered when I would meet you. My other half.
And then one night I went to sleep with the sound of the wind in the bare trees of late fall. And when I woke up, many years had passed.
The hopefulness of my youth has become a vague memory, that slips away a little more each day.
I still love you, and I always will. But I blinked and I am now an old man. You have moved on with your life, and we never did meet. Perhaps it was not in the cards for us.
I will always hold you in my heart. But I feel it growing cold now. The world has passed me by, and I am left here in the past. Just know that throughout all of time, I will love you.
When I am long dead and gone, my love for you will still be out in the universe.
And if we are so lucky as to be able to live another life, I hope that I might find you in this next one. Please. I will see you in our next life my love. Yours eternally.
